Terra + Jake {wedding}

Once upon a time, A wonderful soul named Terra sent me an email saying she found the coolest photographer on instagram that she could find, and that if I was in the area of San Luis Obispo that she would love for me to photograph there intimate wedding at The Madonna Inn. Granted, I live a few hundred miles away but a plane ticket and two nights at the Inn and my usual photography fee and it was a deal. I was so thrilled to have been given the trust to photograph such a unique and lovely day for Terra and Jake.

With a long past of photography, writing and arts, Terra knew what she wanted in a photographer and I’d be damned if I didn’t deliver. So here is my favorite photos of the day. Magenta was the color of the day, not only by choice of her Kimono but the entire interior of the 1950’s hotel restaurant. It was such an amazing place, it felt out of this world.

We had numerous moments of just the three of us, It was a great opportunity to pose, take a few deep breaths and be in the moment together. I believe we created some beautiful work that day and also felt very connected through it all. I’m so thankful for these types of couples. Remember people, It’s a big day, you gotta take a moment, close your eyes, breathe deep and soak in the universe you are a part of.
